Vehicle diagnostics and EV battery service in one system.

CE39 links a diagnostic tablet with a battery-module service unit. Supported vehicle diagnostics can continue while cell equalization, charging or discharging is monitored. Technicians get battery data, controlled module service and a clear view of the work in one system.

SmartSafe CE39

Four functions. One workflow.

01

Four functions

Diagnostics, equalization, charging and discharging in a connected workflow.

02

24 cells

Two banks of 12 channels equalize up to 24 cells in a compatible module.

03

Parallel operation

Supported diagnostics and module service monitoring can run at the same time.

Vehicle diagnostics

On supported systems: read and clear fault codes, view live data, perform actuator tests and service functions. Network topology helps locate communication faults.

Battery pack inspection

Read available SOC/SOH, individual cell and module voltage, temperature and faults. Review pack voltage and cell-voltage differences.

Offline component tests

With the required connections and supported application: batteries, traction motors and electronic controls, including DC/DC converters, onboard chargers (OBC) and electric compressors.

Cell equalization

Configure and monitor up to 24 module cells. Common lithium chemistries are supported with settings matched to the battery.

Module charging and discharging

Charging current up to 40 A and discharge current up to 20 A, within the applicable power and voltage limits. Follow voltage, current and progress on the display.

Remote monitoring and updates

Supported remote device-status monitoring and software updates according to the supplied configuration.

System protection

Monitoring for overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and overheating, as well as short circuit and reverse polarity.

Tablet and service unit

The diagnostic tablet presents the measurements and workflow; the service unit controls module charging, discharging and equalization.
