- Influence of the 12 V battery and analysis of multiple faults
Practical work
- P03 system diagnostics
- Oscilloscope, multimeter and current clamps
- RT100 / IRT01 insulation testing
- Analyze data before and during the fault
Day 2 — Professional repair process
Diagnostic strategy, planning and reporting.
Theory — Professional process
- Create a diagnostic strategy and separate symptoms from root causes
- Estimate repair time and cost
- Plan safe work and select SmartSafe equipment
- Document the initial state, repair and quality control
- Validate the result, road-test and post-scan
- Prepare Battery Health / insurer / customer reports
- EV service-center organization and remote support
Practical work
- Build a diagnostic strategy for a complex case
- Estimate repair time and cost
- Plan safe work and select equipment
- Document repair and quality control
- Validate result and post-scan
- Prepare customer/insurer report
Day 3 — Final theoretical and practical exam
Theory and practical exam with an unknown fault.
Theory — Final exam
- Theory: EV architecture, HV safety, measurements, diagnostics, BMS, battery pack, balancing and capacity testing
- Practical exam on a vehicle or battery system with an unknown fault
Practical work
- Assess risk and secure the workplace
- Prepare initial report and test plan
- Select equipment and confirm the root cause by measurement
- Perform or propose an authorized repair
- Complete final control and customer report
Practical exercises
- System diagnostics with P03 and data analysis
- Insulation test with RT100/IRT01 and oscilloscope signal analysis
- Build a diagnostic strategy and repair estimate
- Document repair, quality control and reports
- Final practical exam: unknown fault, measurement-confirmed root cause and final control
Training equipment
- Complete SmartSafe EV system — P03, RT100/IRT01, oscilloscope, multimeter, current clamps, EB240/EB480 and EP401
- P03 — system diagnostics, DTC, live data, actuation tests and battery diagnostics
